ON LINE NOVENA SERVICE

Kindly note: Online Novena service is on Google meet like our SCC meetings. Kindly follow the following steps at home.

  1. Prepare the home altar or a small table with a cloth on it with the image of Mother Mary and candles around it. Also keep a Bible close to you.
  2. At 7.30 p.m. gather in front of the altar or image and be seated. You may light candles on the altar or on the table you have prepared and enter the online service.
  3. At 7.35 p.m. a hymn to our Lady is played so that you may get in the right disposition for prayer.
  4. At 7.40 p.m. litany will be recited online by the catechist. At this time, please put on mute both the microphone and camera (and keep it that way till you are instructed to put in on) and make the responses at home.
  5. After the litany, the children will put up a small presentation which will be followed by a hymn to Our Lady, the words will be projected on the screen.
  6. After this an introduction will be read by a child, and then follows a few moments of silence, followed by scripture reading. You may follow the words in the Bible.
  7. One of the priests will then give a homily on the theme of the day.
  8. After this we will have the Prayers of the faithful
  9. This will be followed by the recitation of the Our Father.
  10. The novena prayer in English will be recited.
  11. This will be followed by a few other instructions.
  12. After the instructions follows the blessing by the priest.
  13. We conclude the service with the singing of the hymn.
  14. After this a short catechesis for children on the activity for the nine days will be done.

This year we are focusing on the virtues of our blessed Mother. The activity for children will focus on the approved Marian Apparitions and the messages of Mother Mary to us through these apparitions.

Dear parishioners, kindly maintain a prayerful atmosphere in your homes all through the nine days of the novena. Remain in prayer as much as possible. Recite the rosary as a family everyday and pray to Mother Mary that she may intercede for us ever more fervently to her Son Jesus for the end of the pandemic of the Corona virus.

Let us approach the triune God, Father Son and Holy Spirit in faith and full confidence praying for speedy recovery of those infected and undergoing treatment and protection against the virus for people the world over.
