THIRTEENTH SUNDAY OF THE YEAR (28-06-2020)
NOTICES FOR THE WEEK
- Today we celebrate Laity Sunday. We pray for all our lay leaders and you dear people that the Lord may bless you all and grant you the grace to carry out his mission by living lives of true witnessing and service.
- We ask you to continue to join in the Holy Eucharist in your homes celebrated by our archbishop Monday to Saturday 7.30 am and Sunday at 9 am. Kindly follow the instructions as you have been doing especially when you join in for the Sunday Eucharist.
- 29th June is the feast of the Apostles Sts Peter & Paul and 3rd July the feast of the Apostle St Thomas
- Next Sunday 5th July 2020 is Faith Formation Sunday. We pray in a special way for all our catechists. May their faith be deepened and may they find joy in their ministry.
- Church office remains closed till further notice.
- We are accepting mass intentions for the months July to December 2020. Kindly send in your intention online on ijparish74@gmail.com or to your PPC member/ SCC coordinator who will then send it to us via email. Mass offering is Rs 50/- for weekday and Rs 100/- for Sunday. Kindly mention the date and the intention clearly as well as your name and Community number. Please do not come to the church to offer masses as the church office is closed.
- We are also accepting your Community Welfare Fund contribution through cheques only. Please hand over the CWF envelope containing the cheque to your respective PPC/ SCC coordinator who will do the needful. Kindly mention clearly the period of payment (i.e. the month/ months and the year/years for which this contribution is to be marked).
- Sunday school online has begun from last Sunday. In case you have not yet registered, kindly do so on ijparish74@gmail.com. Whatsapp groups are already in place. Urging the children to attend the same online.
- The date of confirmation has been fixed as 17th January 2021 and FHC as 11th April 2021. Please do not start any preparation for the celebration (like bookings, apparel, etc.) till our next meeting in September 2020 due to the uncertainty that still prevails over the opening up of religious places for mass gatherings and celebrations.
- Online classes for FHC and confirmation have already begun. Sunday 28th June 2020, today is the last date for registration. After this date no registrations will be accepted. It is also mandatory to attend pre-communion and pre-confirmation classes. Your child will not be admitted directly for reception of the sacrament.
- Those who are preparing for marriage in the coming months have to do their marriage preparation course online. Please visit the Snehalaya Family Centre website for details. In case you have done your course, please get in touch with the parish priest by sending an email on the parish id ijparish74@gmail.com. Please do not come to the church for clarifications or bookings.
- For baptism of infants, kindly get in touch with us by sending an email on the parish id ijparish74@gmail.com. Please do not come to the church for clarifications or bookings.
- There will be no SCC meetings for the months from June-September 2020.
- We thank you dear parishioners for your prayers and support towards each other in these difficult times. Do continue to pray and reach out to one other. May Infant Jesus our patron protect and guard each and every family in our parish from the dreaded disease. We encourage you to be in touch with each other and the parish community by actively participating in various online endeavours.
- Though the lockdown has eased, the threat of infection has not. So continue to take proper precautions. Best precaution is to Be Home Be Safe. Go out only if it is essential. Keep Safe. God bless!
