SOLEMNITY OF PENTECOST (09-06-2019)
NOTICES FOR THE WEEK
- We celebrate today the feast of Pentecost. We pray that the Holy Spirit may continue to direct our hearts and minds to build a witnessing parish community.
- From today onwards we return to our normal mass schedule for Sunday; morning 6.30 in Konkani, 8.15 children’s mass & 9.30 parish mass both in English and evening 5.30 mass in Konkani.
- If you know of any adult who wants to become a member of the Catholic Church, he/she may enlist for the RCIA programme as soon as possible. For details contact the parish priest, Fr Xavier.
- Those who have given their Std X exams this year, may register for the Confirmation course for the year 2019-2020 in the parish office before 16th June 2019.
- Sunday school for children from Std I – Std. X begins from next Sunday 16th June after the 8.15 am mass. Children should come for the 8.15 am mass. Children who have gone to Std IV will be enrolled for First Holy Communion. Parents please send your children for faith education every Sunday.
- Catechists teaching at Sunday School and those who have given their names will have a meeting tomorrow/ today after the 8.15 am mass in the A V Hall.
- The newly constituted PPC will have their first meeting on Sunday 9th June 2019 after the 9.30 am mass in the A V Hall. Those elected and nominated members are requested to be present for the same.
- A meeting of the extra-ordinary ministers of Holy Communion will be held on Sunday 9th June 2019 after the 5.30 pm mass. Attendance at this meeting is compulsory.
- Altar Servers will have their meeting on Thursday 13th June at 9 am. Children who have received First Holy Communion are encouraged to join.
- A meeting of the Parish Liturgy Committee will be held on Saturday 15th June at 7.30 pm in the activity room. Heads of all choirs, lector groups, Eucharistic ministers, spiritual group members, week-day mass cantors, liturgical coordinators and altar server animators are requested to attend.
- PYC meeting will be held next Sunday after the 9.30 am mass in the A V Room. All those in the age-group of 16 years – 25 years are invited for the same.
- A gathering of the neophytes will be held on Sunday 30th June at 6.45 pm in the A V Hall. All those baptized as adults may register for the same at the parish office with a registration fee of Rs 50/- You may come along with your parents/ spouse and your children.
- This announcement is specially for Catholic students of Infant Jesus High School. Students and parents kindly note that like every year, we begin our academic year at school with the mass of the Holy Spirit. This year the mass will be celebrated on 14th June at 11 am. Catholic students are to attend this mass. Parents you too may attend the same or make arrangements for taking your children home after the mass.
- Those who had donated blood in the month of March may collect their cards from the parish office.
- We would like to inform you, that we have taken up some internal structural repairs of the building. The work should be completed in the next 2 weeks. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
