ON LINE NOVENA SERVICE

Kindly note: Novena service will be online on Google meet like our SCC meetings. Kindly follow the following steps at home.
- Prepare the home altar or a small table with a cloth on it with the image of Mother Mary (an imaz or photo frame or a Holy picture) and candles around it, whichever is convenient (like we do when we take the imaz of Our Lady from house to house). Also keep a Bible close to you.
- At 7.30 p.m. gather in front of the altar or image and be seated. You may light candles on the altar or on the table you have prepared and enter the online service.
- At 7.35 p.m. play on your mobile or laptop a hymn to our Lady so that you may get in the right disposition for the prayer. We will give you a link to a hymn to Our Lady
- At 7.40 p.m. litany will be recited online by the catechist. At this time, please put on mute both the microphone and camera (and keep it that way till you are instructed to put in on) and make the responses at home.
- After the litany, a hymn will be sung, the words will be projected on the screen.
- This will be followed by scripture reading. You may follow the words in the Bible.
- One of the priests will then give a homily on the theme of the day.
- After this we will have the Prayers of the faithful
- This will be followed by the recitation of the Our Father.
- The novena prayer in English will be recited.
- This will be followed by a few other instructions.
- After the instructions follows the blessing by the priest.
- After this a short catechesis for children on the activity for the nine days will be done.
- We conclude the service with the singing of the hymn.
