EPIPHANY OF THE LORD YEAR A – 08th  JANUARY 2023
NOTICES FOR THE WEEK

 

  1. Today is the feast of the Epiphany of the Lord. May Jesus be manifested as Lord and Saviour of all.
  2. The Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist for first Holy Communicant’s will be celebrated on Sunday 8th Jan at 10am. Kindly keep our 10 communicants in prayer. Four Communicants will have common celebration, organized by IJYM youth and it begins from 12:15 pm onwards in the AV Hall.
  3. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered to our 15 confirmation students by Bishop John Rodrigues on Sunday, 15th January at the 10am Eucharist. Kindly keep them in prayer.
  4. Konkani Preacher Bro Prakash D’Souza will be conducting an outreach in Konkani on Sunday 15th January, beginning with Praise & Worship at 5pm, Mass in Konkani at 5:30pm followed by outreach in Konkani. All are welcome. Please invite all your friends and relatives. Please note no Konkani mass at 7am in the morning.
  5. Altar Servers will visit Dolphin Park at Irla on Thursday, 19th Jan. Bus leaves at 9:00 am and back by 1pm.
  6. Registration forms of Talent Dhamaka (Singing & Dance Competition) are available in the church office. For details kindly see the notice board. Last date to submit forms is 15th Jan.
  7. All those who would like to sing in the Konkani choir at masses in the morning and in the evening are invited for practices every Thursday at 7pm in the activity room.
  8. Friday Fever – Zumba dance for parishioners will be conducted on Fridays, 20th and 27th Jan from 7:30pm onwards. All are welcome. Shoes compulsory.
  9. Last year’s Palms may be dropped in the tub placed in front of the altar as it will be used to make ashes to be imposed on Ash Wednesday. Kindly oblige.
  10. A few Bible diaries are up for sale. Kindly contact Lawrence, our Sacristian.
  11. If any of the parishioners is unwell or admitted in the hospital, kindly bring it to the notice of the parish fathers. We would like to pray for you and pray with you.
  12. Children and Youth are requested to speak in English language in the church premises and at all church meetings. Kindly oblige. No speaking in Hindi.
  13. A gentle reminder to all our school children to attend Eucharist during school days in the morning. Parents kindly oblige.
  14. Last Sunday’s collection amounted to Rs 58,000/- which is for the Archdiocese. Thank you for your generosity.
