ANNOUNCEMENTS 30th JULY, SUNDAY, 2023 – 17TH SUNDAY

  1. Parent’s and grandparent’s day celebration tomorrow/today after the evening mass. Housie begins at sharp 6:30pm. Sunday school children and youth have worked hard to add a smile on the faces of parent’s and grandparents. All parent’s and Grandparent’s are invited at sharp 6:30pm tomm/today.

 

  1. PPC/SCC Meeting on Wednesday, 2nd August at 07:45 pm in the AV Hall. Attendance is compulsory.

 

  1. First Friday Holy Half Hour on Friday 4th August at 6:30pm. We pray for Peace in Manipur.

 

  1. “JIVE WORKSHOP” for youth & Parishioners is organized on Friday’s 4th & 11th August from 8pm to 9pm in the AV Hall. Kindly get a partner if possible.

 

  1. Friendship Day will be celebrated by Sunday school children and youth on Sunday, 6th August. Ribbons will be tied to friends and acquaintances. Parishioners are invited to join in the fun and bonding activity.

 

  1. Sunday School has organized a Monsoon Trek, Nature Walk on Sunday, 6th August, to Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Kanheri Caves and Waterfalls. Bus leaves at sharp 1:15 noon. Children to carry dry snacks. Parishioners/ Parents who are interested to come, kindly meet at Kanheri Caves entrance at sharp 3:15 pm. Cost per child is Rs. 100 inclusive of entrance fee and Bus Transport. Sunday school children to register with their teachers.

 

  1. IJYM has organized a Monsoon Trek for Youth to ASHERIGAD FORT, Palghar on Wednesday, 16th August, Parsi New Year, a public holiday. Cost per head is Rs. 150. Bus leaves at sharp 6:45am. Kindly carry dry snacks and water bottles as there are no hotels in the vicinity. Parishioners are welcome to join the Trek. Forms available in the church office.

 

  1. Happy Hour in the month of August will be organized on Saturday, 26th August by Gandhi Nagar, Pratap Nagar and Paras Nagar communities. Those interested in showcasing any talent kindly contact Janice/Rowell & Theresa.

 

  1. Youth Retreat at Vinayalaya from Sept 15th – 17th. This year we plan to send 50 Youth coinciding with 50 years of the parish. Subsidized cost Rs.500 for three days with food, boarding & lodging. Parents kindly encourage the youth and send them. Retreat forms available in the church office.

 

  1. Parishioners are invited to join in the Golden Jubilee Logo and Slogan making Competition. Last date to submit entries is 7th August.

 

  1. If any one of you is discerning a Vocation to Priesthood or religious life, kindly attend the Quest Programme on Tuesday, 15th August at the goregaon seminary, for details kindly see the notice board.

 

  1. As we celebrate the Golden Jubilee of our Church, a HOLY LAND TOUR (Jordan, Israel, Palestine and Egypt) is organized from 5th May to 16th May, 2024. Total Cost of the tour is Rs 1, 60,000/- per head. Booking amount refundable till December 31st is Rs. 10,000. Balance to be paid in instalments January onwards. Those interested kindly start saving money for the tour. Parish fathers will also travel with the group. Non parishioners are welcome. Kindly spread the word among friends and ex parishioners. 45 limited seats only.

13.Archbishop of Bombay Cardinal Oswald Gracias has appealed for funds for Manipur Relief and rehabilitation. Kindly drop in your collection in the box placed on the altar.
14.Parish fathers and sisters will visit families residing in Bimbisar Nagar on Monday evening.
Last Sunday’s collection amounted to Rs 43,420/- which is for the Parish Trust. Thank you for your generosity.
