ANNOUNCEMENTS
17th March – 5th Sunday of Lent – Ordinary Time
- We are grateful to all Sunday school teachers for their commitment and dedication throughout the year. Thank you very much. All those who wish to teach at Sunday school are requested to make an application to the Parish priest latest by 1st April. Graduates preferred. No Sunday school from next Sunday onwards.
- Holy Spirit Hospital is conducting annual Lenten Blood Donation Drive in our parish tomm/today in Fr Juze Dsouza AV hall, second floor. Kindly volunteer. Kindly have breakfast and come for blood donation. For any clarification doctors are available.
- Lenten Confessions in English, Konkani, Hindi and Marathi will be heard on Friday, 22nd March from 8pm onwards. All are invited to prepare and make a good confession this year.
- Semi night vigil on Saturday, 23rd March from 9pm to 11pm in the Church will be conducted by Bro George Pereira in Hindi and English. This is the last semi night vigil in this season of Lent. Kindly come in large numbers. All are invited.
- Infant Jesus Devotion mass will be held on Sunday, 24th march being Palm Sunday. Morning 7am mass in Konkani, Blessing of Palms at 9:10 am in the Basement followed by procession to the church. Eucharistic adoration at 9:30am and Mass at 10am. No children’s mass and No evening mass. Fr Nelson Saldanha, parish priest of St. Thomas Church, Goregaon, will be the main celebrant.
- All men especially the retired are invited to join the Men’s Sodality group on Saturdays at 5pm in the Church.
- Lenten Alms this year will be sent to Manipur Relief Work. Kindly drop in your contributions in the box placed on the altar.
- Summer schedule for masses from 15th April is as follows. Weekday’s only one mass in the evening at 7pm. On Sundays Konkani mass at 7am and only one mass in English in the morning at 9am. No evening mass.
- Holy Week Services this year will held at Snehasadan grounds. Maundy Thursday service at 7pm, Good Friday service at 6pm and Easter Vigil Service at 10pm.
- We congratulate Maxima, Candida and Monica for successfully completing and graduating at the Basic Liturgy Course.
- All those whose golden jubilee wall clocks are malfunctioning or not working, kindly register in the church office latest by Wednesday, 20th March.
