ANNOUNCEMENTS – 1st SEPTEMBER – SUNDAY– 2024 – B
1. The Nativity Novena in preparation of the Birth of The Blessed Virgin Mary has begun. Rosary for children at 6:30pm everyday followed by Novena mass. All children and youth of our parish are invited to participate in the Novena mass.
2. No cash collections will be made in the communities during the Nativity Novena. However those who want to donate towards SVP adopted families either in cash or kind are always welcome. Kindly collect receipt.
3. During the Nativity Novena days only one Novena to our Lady will be recited at all masses. No Perpetual Succour Novena on Wednesday and No Infant Jesus Novena on weekends will be recited.
4. Youth PYC meeting tomm/today after the 9:30am mass in Fr Juze AV hall.
5. September 8th is the Feast of Our Lady of Nativity. Feast day mass timings is as follows – Konkani mass at 7am and only one English mass at 9am. No Sunday school & No evening mass.
6. Walking Marian Pilgrimage to the Mount, Bandra on Saturday, 14th September. Those interested kindly assemble at 4:45am in the morning in the Church. We leave at sharp 5am for mass at 9:30am at the Basilica of our Lady of the Mount. Bandra.
7. On Sunday 15th September, mass schedule is as follows – Konkani mass at 7am and only one English mass at 9am. No Sunday school & No evening mass. Enjoy at Bandra Fair.
8. Monsoon Trek for Sunday school children on Monday, 16th Sept, a public holiday, Id-e- Milad to Kondane Caves, karjat. Those interested kindly enlist with your Sunday school class teacher. Cost per head is Rs.100/-. Last date to register is 10th September. Children from 3rd standard to 10th Standard are permitted.
9. Parish Picnic on Saturday, 12th October, on Dussehra, a Public holiday. This is an advance notice to parishioners to organize your leave for the day. All parishioners are invited.
10. As announced earlier the parish fathers will be not be visiting the home of the deceased on the day of the funeral. All prayers at home will be recited before mass at the cemetery. After one week the parish fathers along with the sisters will visit the home of the deceased for a short interaction and pray the rosary together with the family.
11. The religious sisters of our parish will visit the families on every Monday beginning from 16th September.
Last Sunday’s collection amounted to Rs. 35,470/- which is for the church trust.
