TWENTY NINTH SUNDAY OF THE YEAR (18/10/2020)

NOTICES FOR THE WEEK

1. Mission Sunday: Today we celebrate Mission Sunday. We are reminded of our primary purpose to proclaim Christ by living authentic Christian lives and by our witness attract those around us to Christ. Please pray for those involved in missions that their work may bear fruit a hundred fold.
2. Holy Eucharist: Kindly continue to join in the Holy Eucharist in your homes celebrated by our archbishop Monday to Saturday 7.30 am and Sunday at 9 am. Also tune in to special sessions/ talks on various topics conducted online by various archdiocesan bodies.
3. Church office remains closed till further notice.
4. Church services: For any church services sacramental or others like booking of masses, etc. Kindly get in touch with us priests by sending an email on the parish id ijparish74@gmail.com. Please do not come to the church for clarifications or bookings.
5. October month is dedicated to the praying of the holy rosary. Kindly pray the rosary as a family everyday.
6. All souls day, 2nd November: You can offer your intentions through the parish email ID. Or give it to your PPC or SCC members. No masses at the Oshiwara cemetery, but you can go and pray for your loved ones.
7. Community Welfare Fund/ Donations can be made through cheques only. Please hand over the CWF envelope containing the cheque/ donation cheque to your respective PPC/ SCC coordinator who will do the needful. Kindly mention clearly the period of payment (i.e. the month/ months and the year/years for which this contribution is to be marked).
8. Scholarship: The Government of India has declared the minority scholarship for school/college students. Kindly avail of the same. Girl students of STD. IX, X, XI and XII are asked not to apply for the scholarship.
9. Covid-19 threat is still on. Do not let your guard down. Continue to take proper precautions. Be home, Be safe and practice SMS.
10. Covid Vaccine Box: In order that you may be prepared to bear the cost of the Covid-19 vaccine, at every SCC meeting we have proposed that every family keep a sealed box into which you drop some coins every day. This little daily saving will help ease the expense of the vaccine for the family as and when it is released. Those who can meet the expenses right away can still keep the box for those who cannot and then can handover the box for the needy ones of our parish.
11. Plastic Recycling/ e-waste Project: Requesting you to recycle the milk pouches and other plastic items. In case you do not find a vendor for the same, you may deposit these items with our watchman at the parish basement. You may also bring in the electronic waste for recycling.
12. Vocal for Local: Some of our parishioners have started some small business endeavors from their homes. Invite you to buy from them and support them to generate some income.
13. All those having permanent graves in St. Blaise, Amboli, are hereby informed that hence forth all burials will be shroud burials.    
14. Employment: Our archbishop inaugurated an employment portal www.e2elinks.com to help our laity to obtain jobs. You may visit this portal and check the opportunities available for employment.
