NOTICES FOR THE WEEK
- We ask you to continue to join in the Holy Eucharist in your homes celebrated by our archbishop Monday to Saturday 7.30 am and Sunday at 9 am. Kindly follow the instructions as you have been doing especially when you join in for the Sunday Eucharist.
- Next Sunday is Laity Sunday. We pray in a special way for all the lay leaders who play an active part in Church ministry through various cells and associations. There will be no commissioning of lay heads taking place this year.
- Church office remains closed till further notice.
- We are accepting mass intentions for period 20 June to 31 December 2020 for the following only. 1. Month’s mind (for parishioner only) 2. 1st Death anniversary (for parishioner only) 3. Feast Mass for cells and associations of our parish and 4. Silver or Golden wedding anniversary mass. Kindly send in your intention online on ijparish74@gmail.com or send it to your PPC member/ SCC coordinator who will then send it to us via email. Please do not come to the church to offer masses as the church office is closed. The offering for the mass is Rs 50/- for weekday mass and Rs 100/- for Sunday mass. Kindly mention the date and the intention clearly as well as your name. Please do not come to the church to offer mass. For other intentions we will inform you accordingly.
- We are also accepting your Community Welfare Fund contribution. This is through cheques only. Please hand over the envelope containing the cheque to your respective PPC/ SCC coordinator who will do the needful. Kindly mention clearly the period of payment (i.e. the month/ months for which this contribution is to be marked).
- Sunday school online begins from 21st June 2020 tomorrow/ today. In case you have not yet registered, kindly do so on ijparish74@gmail.com. Whatsapp groups are already in place. We urge the children to attend the same online.
- We had a wonderful interactive meeting with the parents of the FHC and Confirmation students online last Sunday 14th June. We were very happy to have this interaction in order to prepare your children for receiving the sacrament. The date of confirmation has been confirmed as 17th January 2021 and date for FHC as 11th April 2021. As instructed in the meeting, do not start any preparation for the celebration (like bookings, apparel, etc.) till our next meeting which is in September 2020. This is because of the uncertainty that still prevails over the opening up of religious places for mass gatherings and celebrations due to the Corona virus pandemic.
- Online classes for FHC and confirmation have already begun. We extend the last date for registration till next Sunday 28th June 2020. After this date no registrations will be accepted. It is also mandatory as mentioned in the parish handbook to attend pre-communion and pre-confirmation classes. Your child will not be admitted directly for reception of the sacrament.
- Those who are preparing for marriage in the coming months have to do their marriage preparation course online. Please visit the Snehalaya Family Centre website for details. In case you have done your course, please get in touch with the parish priest by sending an email on the parish id ijparish74@gmail.com. Please do not come to the church for clarifications or bookings.
- For baptism of infants, kindly get in touch with us by sending an email on the parish id ijparish74@gmail.com. Please do not come to the church for clarifications or bookings.
- There will be no SCC meetings for the months from June-September 2020.
- We thank you dear parishioners for your prayers and support towards each other in these difficult times. We continue to be Church and live the love commandment of Christ. Do continue to pray and reach out to each other. May Infant Jesus our patron protect and guard each and every family in our parish from the dreaded disease and all other troubles of life.
