NOTICES FOR THE WEEK

 

  1. A session for working youth, young adults and youth in senior college of our parish on “Taking charge of your Financial Life” by Mr Steven Fernandes will take place tomorrow /today at 11am in the AV Hall.
  2. Winner coupons can be exchanged for gifts in the church extension tomm/today after the 9:30am mass.
  3. A mass in Hindi will be celebrated for Hindi speaking parishioners’ tomorrow/today at 5:30 pm.
  4. Kindly pray for our SSC and HSC students as they appear for their Board Exams.
  5. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent. 22nd Feb is Ash Wednesday. Mass in the morning at 6:30 am and in the evening at 06:30 pm and an additional mass at 07:30 pm. Masses will be celebrated in Eng.
  6. In the season of Lent, Stations of the Cross will be in Konkani on Wednesdays and on Fridays in English at 6:30pm. Mass at 7pm will be in English on Fridays.
  7. Fridays of Lent will be a special day of personal prayer, penance and fasting. Stations of the Cross at 7pm in English, mass at 7:30 pm in English and silent adoration before the Blessed Sacrament from 8:00pm to 8:30pm every Friday. Parents are requested to get their Children and Youth every Friday. Come and spend few moments with Jesus on Fridays.
  8. Happy Hour will take place on Saturday, 25th Feb at 7:30pm sharp. Those interested in participating in Antakshari kindly give your names to your PPC members latest by 23rd Feb. Housie will follow Antakshari. All are invited.
  9. A Special Eucharist to promote devotion to Infant Jesus will be celebrated by Bishop Barthol Barretto on Sunday, 26th Feb. Eucharistic Adoration begins at 10am followed by mass at 10:30am. Kindly promote the devotion and invite your friends, relatives and ex parishioners. No evening mass next Sunday.
  10. Pre Baptism course is organized on Sunday, 5th march from 11am to 12:30 noon. All expectant parents and God parents to be are required to attend this course. Kindly register in the church office latest by 26th Feb.
  11. All children and Youth are reminded to take your studies seriously. Exams are approaching, kindly work hard.  Every child/youth of our parish community must excel in studies. Any assistance with regards to studies is available, those interested kindly approach the parish fathers.
  12. Any child/youth not studying or wasting time or troubling parents kindly bring it to the notice of the parish fathers.
  13. Konkani Choir practice will take place every Sunday at 6:30pm in the church. We are in need of people to join the Konkani choir. All those interested in singing at the morning or evening mass, Konkani choir practices every Sunday at 6:30pm in the church.
  14. The parish fathers and sisters will visit the families residing at Subhash Nagar on Monday.
  15. Last Sunday’s collection amounted to Rs 55,000/- which is for the Archdiocese. Thank you for your generosity.
