5th SUNDAY- A – 5th FEBRUARY, 2023

NOTICES FOR THE WEEK

  1. Announcement only on Sat: Tomorrow the Rosary will begin at 9:15am, Tamil Novena at 9:30am, Adoration at 9:35am and mass at 10am followed by Novena prayers. No stall games tomorrow.
  2. The Parish Novena to Infant Jesus has begun. You are invited to come as a family and attend Novenas everyday. Rosary at 6:15pm, Tamil Novena at 6:30pm, Eucharistic Adoration at 6:35pm and mass at 7pm followed by Novena prayers. Parents kindly get your children everyday. All games in the AV hall are free for children after the mass in the evening.
  3. The mass timings on the feast day 12th Feb is as follows – 7:30am in Konkani, 8:45 am in English, Solemn Procession at 9:45 am from GM garage and mass at 10:30 am in English celebrated by Archbishop (Emeritus) William D’Souza, Bishop of Patna.
  4. The Celebration of the parish feast begins in the evening from 5 pm onwards on 12th Feb. Cultural programmes has been organized. Bumper housie begins at 6pm sharp and the prize of two Full House is Rs Ten Thousand only for parishioners. Entry for feast celebration is free. No evening mass next Sunday.
  5. Mass in Hindi for Hindi speaking parishioners on Sunday 19th Feb at 5:30 pm.
  6. A special Eucharist and a prayer service before the Blessed Sacrament is organized on Friday, 17th Feb at 6:30pm in the church for youth and children appearing for SSC, HSC, TY Board Exams and other regular examinations. Parents are requested to accompany their children/youth as they will be blessed and prayed over. Mass will be celebrated in English. All youth and children are invited.
  7. A picnic for members of Ladies Sodality, Hope & Life, SVP, Neophytes, Legion of Mary, Lectors, Altar servers, Choirs and Church workers is organized on Saturday, 18th Feb, being a public holiday to Aksa Beach. Heads of these associations kindly submit the names of those attending to the church office latest by 12th Feb.  Cost per person is Rs 50.
  8. The parish celebrates world day of the sick on Sunday, 19th Feb. A special intention mass will be celebrated for the sick of our parish at the 9:30 a.m. mass. At the Eucharist we will remember and pray for the sick of our parish community.
  9.  All working youth, young adults and youth in senior college of our parish are invited for an interactive session on “Taking charge of your Financial Life” by Mr Steven Fernandes on Sunday 19th Feb at 11am in the AV Hall. Registration compulsory. For details kindly see the notice board. Last date to register is 17th Feb.
  10. Last Sunday’s collection amounted to Rs 27, 400/- which is for the Parish Trust. Thank you for your generosity.
