4th SUNDAY OF LENT – A – 19th March 2023

                                    NOTICES FOR THE WEEK

  1. Stations of the Cross will be conducted in Konkani on Wednesdays at 6:30pm followed by mass at 7pm.
  2. Stations of the Cross in English will be conducted on Fridays at 7pm, followed by mass at 7:30 pm in English and Eucharistic adoration before the Blessed Sacrament in the Church from 8:00pm to 8:30pm every Friday. Parents are requested to come with their Children and Youth and spend few moments with Jesus every Friday.
  3. Mass in Hindi will be celebrated tomm/today at 5:30pm.
  4. Sunday School: Children’s masses will continue as usual. All children to attend 08:15am mass every Sunday.  We are very grateful to the Sunday school catechists and parents for the cooperation and support rendered throughout the year.
  5. Happy Hour: Women’s Day special. A special performance of song and dance by women from Thane with a relevant social message will be enacted on Saturday, 25th march. Housie will begin at sharp 7:30pm with a full house prize of Rs 3000/- This is women’s day special. Please note only women will be allowed at Housie and at the performance. All women of our parish are invited.
  6. A Special Eucharist to promote devotion to Infant Jesus will be celebrated by Jesuit priest, Fr Fio Mascarenhas on Sunday, 26th March. Eucharistic Adoration begins at 10am followed by mass at 10:30am. Kindly promote the devotion and invite your friends, relatives and ex parishioners. No evening mass next Sunday.
  7. Lenten Youth Bike Pilgrimage is organized on Sunday, 26th March from 2:15pm onwards to Churches in Manori, Gorai, and Uttan belt. Pillion riders to wear helmets. This is open to youth from other parishes.
  8. Blood Donation Drive in association with Holy Spirit Hospital is organized on Palm Sunday, 2nd April. Each community has to identify 20 healthy volunteers from each zone. Kindly volunteer. Our target this year is 150 bottles.
  9. Parishioners who sit in the extension area of the church during services are requested to kindly stack the chairs after the service and keep the chairs back after masses.  Kindly cooperate.
  10. Community Fund: We are approaching the end of the financial year, you are reminded of your contribution towards the community fund.

  14. Lenten Marian walking Pilgrimage from St Thomas church, Goregaon to Mount Mary, Bandra.
  15. We are very grateful to Bro Joywin from the seminary for his involvement and assistance in the Sunday school catechesis. We wish him God’s abundant blessings as he moves on to his next formation year.
  16. We will now watch a short video on the happenings at Sunday school in the last one year.
  17. Last Sunday’s collection amounted to Rs 26,160 /- which is for the archdiocese. Thank you for your generosity.
